Bahia beats Notico in the second half and ends Series B at home

Bahia ended a disturbing suspension of almost two months without winning at home in Series B of the Brazilian Championship. This Friday (29), Esquadrão de Aço beat Náutico 3-0 at Arena Nova Fontaine, in El Salvador, in the 21st round.
Tricolor has not won at home since the 1-0 victory over Sport, on June 8. In Fonte Nova's last five games (four in Série B and one in the Copa do Brasil), they lost three and drew two. With the victory, Bahia moved up to third place with 37 points, surpassing Grêmio. G4's advantage is 7 points, which can return to 5 at the end of the round.

Alvirrubro remains in 19th place with 18 points, but if Vila Nova beats Novorizo at the Jorge Ismael de Biasi Stadium, in Novo Horizonte, this Saturday (30), at 18:30 pm (Brasília time), they can reach the bottom of the well (SP). This is the fifth consecutive time that Série B has beaten Pernambuco.
Bahia was stronger in the first half, although with less efficiency. There are two big opportunities. In the 8th minute, midfielder Emerson Santos hit the crossbar with a shot from the middle. Striker Hugo Rodalega, 32, headed in a corner, putting goalkeeper Lucas Perry to work. Náutico's most dangerous move was a shot by striker Jean Carlos from outside the area, which goalkeeper Matthaus Klaus saved.
In the final stage, the difficulty created allowed the more aggressive tricolor to take the aerial ball. Stick to it within 25 minutes. After crossing and shooting in the area, it was up to point guard Ignacio to feed the Nets and open the scoring.
Four minutes later, defender João Paulo made a mistake when he received a setback from midfielder Ralph, culminating in Bahia's second goal. Striker Matthews Davao took advantage, dribbling past Lucas Perry and expanding. The duel was under control, the Steel Squadron broke free on the field and there was another one. At 38, Vitor Hakare launched Everton, also a striker, into the area, which hit the goalkeeper and scored.
In the 22nd round, Náutico will face Ópera next Friday (5) at 19pm (Brasília time) at the Germano Krüger Stadium, in Ponta Grossa (PR). Bahia received its CSA at Fonte Nova at 16:30 pm the following day.
