The match was the first of the 2014 Paris Olympics, guaranteeing the semi-finalists' participation in the 2023 Copa América, also known as Copa América. Brazil, led by coach José Neto, debuted last night (Game 1) with a 74-45 victory over Colombia. The highest scorers were Laila Zabbani (No. 12), Camila Cardoso (No. 10), Débora Costa (No. 9) and Alana Gonzalo (Nine).

Chosen in Group B, in addition to Colombia and Uruguay, is Chile. Group A is made up of hosts Argentina, Paraguay, Ecuador and Venezuela. The top two in each group advance to the semi-finals. The last game of the first phase will be against Chile, at 18:30 pm this Wednesday (3).
