Brazilian Marco Túlio Gregório won three medals at the Pan-American Weightlifting Championship (CBLP) this Thursday (28). The game was held in Bogotá, Colombia.

In the sprint, Marco Turio lifted 161kg, just one kilo less than Colombian gold medalist Andrés Martinez. With a total weight of 348kg, the Minas Gerais native is ahead of Carpizo (338kg) and surpassed overall by the Colombian athlete (362kg).

“These medals mean a lot to me. In painful moments, when I think I can't lift any more weights, it's very rewarding to conquer them. For me, it will be the motivation for the next events. Brazil won 12 medals at the Pan-American Championship. Emily Rosa was the highlight of the team with three gold medals in the under-45kg category. Emily's sister, Nathasha Rosa, won one silver and two bronze medals in the 49kg category. Also in the women's category, Letícia Laurindo took silver and bronze (twice) in the 55kg category.

Also this Thursday, Laura Amaro represents the country in the under-81kg competition, starting at 20:30 pm (Brasília time). The competition ended this Friday (29), the women's group is over 87kg and over 87kg, and the men's group is over 109kg and over 109kg. The first test starts at 14pm.
