Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton predicted a difficult weekend for Mercedes in Hungary after some of the team's experiments did not work out in training this Friday (29).

Hamilton, who damaged the floor and hampered his low-fuel strategy, finished only 11th in the second session.

The Brit, who finished second in France and a record eight wins in Hungary last weekend, told Formula 1 TV: “The car was a bit difficult today. It was crazy how he changed from track to track.” It doesn't do what we want. Tough day... it's going to be a tough weekend, for sure.

Mercedes says it has redesigned the Halo headrests and made changes to the rear wing.

The defending champions are yet to win 12 races this season, but are looking to close the gap on leaders Red Bull and Ferrari. Italy led two games this Friday (29).
