Zé Roberto brings together 16 players for training before the Volleyball World Cup

Brazil's women's volleyball coach, José Roberto Guimarães, called up 16 players to train ahead of the World Championships, scheduled for September and October in the Netherlands and Poland. The competition will bring together 24 teams in the first phase, divided into four groups. Brazil is in the D bracket along with China, Japan, Colombia and the Czech Republic. The four best teams in each group qualify for the second phase (which will be two groups of eight teams, one round of games). The eight best teams will compete in the quarterfinals, then the semifinals and, finally, the championship decision.
